Dang. The only thing I don't like about the whole 'freedom zero' deal (which I agree with in principle) is the name. I use it already, in discussing/envangelizing for Free Software (which makes me a nut in and of itself, but that's another story...*grin*) because Richard Stallman has used it for quite a while in his definition of free software. And it ain't quite the same thing. RMS's freedom zero is "The freedom to run the program, for any purpose", and it's a prerequisite for his other requirements of Free Software. But...I imagine it'll get appropriated. I don't really like that very much. I'm a big believer in the Open Source definition as well, but ultimately, I think we COMPLETELY ignore philosophical issues (which the OSS definition does) at our peril.
