Just a quick note about the quote from the Salesforce.com chairman. We use Salesforce and LOVE it. It's an absolutely amazing product and company. It's an excellent example of how a web app should work, and how a company should treat its customers. So I parsed his comment more like "Good thing we have _enough_ cash on hand to help build the market, since there is no such thing as _paitient capital_ anymore." Of course, he is unable to say it like that, so instead we get the irony-free version.
