Microsoft's attempt to provide the "All-In-One" OS in XP goes against every practice I've learned in my career as a technologist. Logic provides that it is better to distribute the services you provide to your customers to eliminate any single point of failure. It's like the Swiss Army knife that does 50 different things. If one thing fails or breaks you have to send in the whole thing to be repaired. At least the knife comes with a lifetime guarantee.
