Got Jacked, Eh?
Haven't checked lately, but we have (had?) a Jack station out here. Only they ran ads back when the format started. Rather eclectic mix of tunes. The failure of the format in New York was predictable, as with other fields of endeavour centralized planning in the music business just doesn't work. For local radio stations to succeed they have to be given autonomy.
