Hi Doc, Welcome home. A spot of news. While you were gone a small fire broke out at 9:40 PM on East Camino Cielo. Ocean breeze allowed the City, County and Forest Service Fire untis to douse the blaze quickly. Downslope winds would have blowtorched the area and triggered an evacuation. Fire Captain states that the brush is already as dry as August and they are very concerned. As far as I know only one local media source, The Daily Sound, was on site to report. There was no other immediate response by local media that I know of. Is this due to FCC changes? I know you're a local radio fan, and you did great work to give information support on the La Conchita Fire. I've outlined my thought on the lack of local broadcast news nation wide.
