Hand jive
| | While we were driving along the beach a couple hours ago, Jeffrey made up a song while looking at all the art stalls that line the sidewalk every Sunday. One of his lyrics went, "It's time to make art WITH! YOUR! HAND!" This rhymed with something, also expressed with the same peculiar emphasis. |
| | (Several hours later...) Just got back from dinner at the Endless Summer restaurant, sitting outside overlooking the Harbor, which bristled with sailboats and fishing boats lit perfectly by the setting sun. Hold a frame at any distance from your face an in it would be perfect postcard. Afterwards, Jeffrey ran up and down the wharfs, pretending to be an airplane. Finally he stopped, held still and yelled, "I'M STUCK TO THE AIR!" |
Onward and Coastward
| | Well, it looks like the old house is going to be sold. We're happy for ourselves and for the buyers, who clearly know and appreciate what makes the place so special. I hope someday we'll have a house we like as much as this one. |
| | It also looks like we need to have it cleared out by the 21st. With no less work to do in the meantime, this will probably mean thin blogging for awhile (although when I say that it usually doesn't happen). |
| | Anyway, we should be getting set up in the new place in early July, though we'll keep the apartment by the beach until the end of the Summer. |
