I don't mean this comment to be at all critical of Politicopia. It is a good idea and probably will be helpful. I just fear it is nowhere near enough by itself to make very much difference, because, at least at the moment, I expect it won't reach a very large proportion of the public and won't be very effective at keeping whatever energy it does raise stirred up until an appropriate election occurs. We need to find a way to break the control big money has over our government. I don't have any idea how that can be done, since big money will block any attempts at such. Maybe focusing something like Politicopia on breaking big money's grip would have a small chance of making progress in that direction -- I just don't know. I hope I'm being too pessimistic about the strength of the lock big money has over our governments or about the ability of something like Politicopia to change that.
