Re: New York from the sky
Anywhere your text says "Victory Bridge and Edison Bridge", it should say "Victory Bridge, Edison Bridge, and Driscoll Bridge". The Wikipedia page you point to notes that the Route 9 bridge is the Edison and the GSP bridge is the Driscoll. If you look closely at your photos, you can separate the Edison and Driscoll Bridges, particularly at the original resolution of 3504 x 2336. The one where I was best able to view the separation of the two closely-spaced bridges 2006_10_27_phl-bos_010.JPG. The Edison was completely rebuilt a few years ago, and if you look closely, you can see that it's actually not as high as the Driscoll any more (it used to be roughly the same height). The Edison is the bridge with the bluish color.
The Driscoll bridge must have been there by the late 1960s, because I remember driving across it with family friends when my parents took us to New Jersey to visit from our home in Michigan. From the perspective of a five year old, it seemed to be a million miles high.
