Provide an easy mechanism for your readers to talk back. And get the impression that they're comments are being read. You don't have to publish the comments. In fact you probably don't want the hassle of moderating them. But we do want to talk to you and express *our* opinion. Newspapers are not just one to many publishing, they're also many to one feedback and letters to the editor. If you can work out how to do it, they can also be many to many discussion.
