Thanks for the excellent post on the Day Fire. I agree with your comments about Inciweb. However, I also think that maybe the time the forest service spends interfacing with Inciweb is time taken away from fighting the fire. No criticism intended by the following statement, but I am really amazed it could take this long for them to put the fire out. I do have a question for you: the closure map is all but impossible to read. Can you please confirm my understanding that the area to the EAST of I-5, which they previously closed on 9/13 (for no apparent reason other than why a dog licks himself, because he can)is now open? It would be nice if they REOPENED our lands with as much fanfare as they CLOSE them in the first place. Take Care LF
