Queue up the Rawhide theme
| | I'm packing up the old Subaru to hit the road, either tonight or reeeaaal early tomorrow. Next you hear from me, I'll be back in Santa Barbara. If the old horse gets me there. |
Betting on service
| | Spent most of the last two days hanging out at the Execitive Summit meeting of the Customer Support Consortium. Great bunch of folks: smart, knowing, and truly concerned. I left convinced that companies need to do with customer support what they dot-com folks did with marketing: elevate it to top priority and grant it maximum trust. |
| | Makes me wonder: are there any Chief Support Officers out there? So far, only in the military. There seem to be more Chief Service Officers, but not many. Oddly, one is at my ISP, which I'd never hold up as a paragon of service. |
| | By the way, if ever a corporate function cried out for Jabber, it should be customer support. Oddly, it didn't really occur to me until we were tossing ideas around yesterday. |
