Wow. That's right down there with the German teacher at the Lutheran academic correctional institution where I served three year of high school. After doing the first A-level work of my life (in my second, repeat year of German 101), he gave me a B because, he told me, "You're not an A-type student". He told me I was a C-type student who happened to do A-level work that one semester. That averaged out to a B. After that I did my level worst in the class.
My parents sent me to that school, by the way, because my junior high school had me pegged as a low-IQ, low-achievement retard, and recommended that I attend the local "vocational/techhical" high school where they taught wood shop, auto mechanics and drill press operation to students on the "general" or "non-academic" track. Thank God for giving me parents who believed in me and wanted to get me out of The System.
