WARNING - RANT FOLLOWS Well, it appears I was wrong, and they did manage to send kids off to clear mine fields... stunning to say the least. (No pun intended) I'm tempted to get cynical and point out that we do the same thing, but slightly differently. We can use economic incentives, and let our kids wait until they're 18 and can "volunteer" to go into a no-win situation to get slaughtered, whilst talking about "Supporting our Troops", and cutting their medical benefits. (Tempted... hell, I already said it...) We as a country helped build the hell-hole that is the middle east today. We support countries with weapons of mass destruction, while invading others that turn out not to even have them... We have no moral high-ground from which to judge this sitation... in spite of efforts to declare otherwise. We did, after all, supply the chemical weapons to Saddam to help him kill the Iranian kids.
