Live Web requires Reputation
Doc... you're setting a bad example, kinda... Web 2.0 requires reputation if we want to avoid repeating Usenet.
Drinking from an undifferentiated stream of "content" allows spam to creep in. If you keep reputation and identity bonded to "content", you can prevent spam by avoiding stuff from those with bad reputations.
It might not be perfect, but it's a damned sight better than repeating usenet.
