Missing here is Larry Page's take. What I heard from Larry at CES is that he deeply, personally, wants the Internet and its benefits to reach the undeveloped world; Africa in particular. For a company like Google, a few million is pocket change. They spend more on signing bonuses, I'll bet. As for Skype, they say this. As for the VCs, well, yeah: the money. Big leagues. You think the issues are raised and settled now?
