It doesn't take a geologist to drive by La Conchita and determine that the wall of sand looming over the community doesn't seem very stable. It looks like it has been crumbling away all along that part of the coastline for years and years! People in the community have acknowledged taking a "risk" to live there and a "risk" is just that -- no guarantee. ct
