Oh, interesting side note:
When we were in law school, we would read cases of suspect scam and conmen who went to trial. After reading about 2 dozen, we started to notice the details of the scams were never spelled out that clearly in the court records (these were cases on appeal, not the actual trial). Our professor explained that appeallate courts would often self-censor themselves as to the details of a particular scam, as they didn't want would-be scammers to find an easy explanation of how to pull something off.
