I addressed this at least as it applies to plastic surgery blogs of which mine is a rare one with actual content. Most of the others I have seen are "keyword traps" for the search engines. I called them Nonsense blogs here:

I think a solution to this is pretty simple at least to thin them out of Technorati results. Just delete results (or place them low on the results list) with few or no links. Links tend to be placed to sites with content. A lack of links indicates a lack of content.
I admit that I did not read the whole post, so if this was suggested already I apologize.
