Doc
Damn good piece
Damn good
Reader (sometimes correspondent with) of John (Robb)
Tom Barnett too (Pentagon's New Map is a must read)
Additions
http://www.defensetech.org/ (sometimes)
http://inteldump.powerblogs.com/
http://www.stratfor.com (subscription service but willing to admit mistakes ... some damn good insight, Iraq and elsewhere)
As for the Military solution, part of it is the Adminstration, part was the audiance (Vets)
More background (I'd have to dig for my notes) would be to google up some of Paul Wolfowitz writings on establishing democracy in the Middle East.
Basic idea being that 50+ years of dictatorships was a failed policy.
Change Iraq leads to changes elsewhere.
Saudi - and it may be happening
Cairo - the crown jewel, maybe some movement there.
What happens if you indeed bring "Power to the People"?
Democracy is messy, as we know here in America, but it is the best system in the long run.
Keep up the good work(s)
Ciao
Chip
