Seems yesterday's piece about this was actually a work of these guys and not these guys.
As I explained to Adam, if you look at the URL carefully, then you may notice the '@' character, which is used to pass login name and password information in a URL. In this case it's simply a ruse. If you remove:
www.microsoft.com&item=q209354@
Then the remaining URL:
http://www.hwnd.net/pub/mskb/Q209354.asp
will load the same page.
It's not entirely clear who is hwnd.net...
I got a step closer, but still don't know who the culprits are...
