Dept. of Heh
| | Hooray for blogosphere for giving us things like "Media Bias Thursday." |
Hope it doesn't become a habit
| | I just made my first contribution to Wikipedia: a tiny copy edit (changing "its" to "their") on this page. Scary how easy it is. |
| | Just made several more copy edits in the text, all to correct bad grammar. |
Digging deeper
| | In another post, Dave also clarifies his position on comments one with which I mostly sympathize, actually. |
| | [Later still...] This from Dave Rogers (lots of meat on many bones there). This from Shelley. Great metaphor. Read the comments. Best response so far came from my nonblogging sister. Basically, she agreed with Dave Rogers' original post. If she'll let me, I may publish it tomorrow. |

Doc, you stated earlier that it doesn't matter who comes up with an idea... it's the strength of the idea that counts.
When "RealID" got slipped in under the Iraq bill for this year, by a 100-0 Senate vote, we got the normal reaction from the digital Identity folks... then silence.
We're going to get RealID. We should make sure it does things we want, and use this as an opprotunity to get our ideas included, rather than being religated to the outside.
When I exchange ID cards with Officer friendly, I don't want him to be able to get any more information than is actually necessary to access and annotate my driving record, and ONLY if it's proven he is legit.
Unless we speak up now, it's not going to happen.
What's the best way to get this ball rollling??? Is this enough, or what do you recommend?
--Mike--
