Hot and cold spot
| | So we're sitting in an airport lounge at Charles DeGaulle. Mary has a little instrument that shows there's four bars of Wi-Fi in the air. The guests using Windows laptops are getting on using the same Wi-Fi connection, presumably. She's not getting on. Neither am I, except through my phone's bluetooth and cell service. In fact, our laptops (which aren't Windows) don't even show a signal at all. |
| | I've never seen a Wi-Fi signal that only works with Windows laptops. Is there such a thing? |
| | A person at the front desk just told Mary "some computers can't see the network because the network is ... something." |
On the road again
| | It's 2:34am here in Paris. Been putting out fires back in the home time zone. I'll be leaving in a few hours for Washington and Boston, then home on Thursday. Busy trip. |
| | Meanwhile Les Blogs was a great show. Big thanks to Loic and his crew for excellent work, especially for a first-time effort. Sez Loic, |
| | 300 participants from more than 20 countries, 30 speakers, 3 TV channels, France Info radio, 30 journalists from around the world, lots of fun, amazing talks... |
