It looks interesting, but I don't see any information about requirements. I have to register to download too, which seems weird. The reason here still doesn't seem very clear to me. Copy like this would be better:
After you download Tidepool, you'll need to upload your photos somewhere. That place will have to be yours, for sharing with others (or everybody) by your permission. We never give away or sell your personal information.
I see here that "Yes! In addition to Mac OSX and Windows support, we also have an installer for Linux and basic Java platforms." But what's the difference between "support" and "installer?" I think this means it's a java app, but it's not clear. There should be more information, for the technically curious, in the Q&A.
I'll give it a try when I get a break. I'm especially interested (since it's my job) to see how it runs on Linux.
