Actually, I like the way electronic improvements have made bowling more accessible and fun for kids. That said, my father (who would have turned 95 this year) also once worked as a pin-setter, and had similar stories. He was also a heckuva bowler. We only bowled together a few times, and all his scores were in the 180-210 range. I'd like to say I learned something from him; but all I remember was getting scores that were about half of his. If bowling weren't such a lousy business in most places, I'm sure your prediction would come true pretty fast.
