"My only quibble was with the huge amount of space Channel 2 devoted to its superimposed station-ID banner (or whatever you call that... I used to know, but it's been so long I forget)." It's called a Legal (station) ID key. It's required by the FCC. Of course, not seeing how large there's is, I can't judge how annoying it is. My station does it in the lower right hand corner (alternately upper right, depending on if we're going to cover net graphics) of the screen when we manually key it or lower left of the screen on promos. -A There are responses to this message:
