Six figures and counting
| | Podcasting searches now yield 109,000 results on Google. Yet it still says "Did you mean: broadcasting." |
Living on Schwag, cont'd

Making headway
| | Buzz's marketing of Activewords involves (to my knowledge) zero advertising, even on his own blog (now blogs). It consists of conversations, and relationships, mostly with fellow bloggers. I marvel at his energy at it, and his success. And I consider him a good case in point for the Making Money session at BloggerCon III. |
Taking sides against sides
| | In preparing for BloggerCon, Dave asks us to Think about Jon Stewart's appearance on CNN Crossfire. Check out that link (to bittorrents of the appearance, in two formats). Holy shit, is it good. Rather than explain more here, read the post and the comments, including my own (the 21st, right ahead of Jerry Brown's). Rex Hammock (who provides another set of links to the video), calls it "the first-ever live, televised castration." Jeff Jarvis calls it "The single best piece of media criticism I have seen in years. And it's all the better because it's face-to-face." He adds, "What's fascinating about the Jon Stewart takedown of Crossfire is not just what he said but how his message got distributed." And "Live is so yesterday." |
