| | I didn't expect to be doing this, but the kid doesn't want to lay down in the tent. He feels too sick, from some pizza that didn't agree with him, so he's sitting up, asleep, in a lawn chair, in the dark, in the woods, with moonlight falling through the oaks and crickets buzzing in the woods. |
| | He'll be okay after he sleeps a bit. (He just woke up, said "Strange!" and went back to sleep. He's right, of course. Anyway, I've got time to kill. |
| | So I just broke out the laptop, bluetoothed via cell to the Net, and here I am, posting a blog while IMing with Euan in Buckinghamshire, from here in Paradise Valley, CA, three thousand feet below the Santa Ynez ridge to the South, and another thousand below Little Pine Mountain to the North. |
| | It's so warm I've got my shirt off, and so dry there's hardly an insect to beother me, even though the only light, other than the moon, is the laptop screen. I'll bet it's 20 degrees cooler on the other side of the ridge, in Santa Barbara. |

Doc, you are in the woods, under the stars that you don't get to see from the city lights...
don't let the glow from your laptop ruin that. Disconect for a day, it is very liberating while in nature ;)
