As with Mr. Bir, I connect my Powerbook via Bluetooth to my Sony Ericsson T610. Previously, I had a Siemens S56 and that worked too. The T-mobile $20/month unlimited GPRS plan is very nice. AT&T's data service was faster but more expensive. There are many webpages that will give configuration advice if you need it; the T-mobile tech support people were pretty good, though. I was up and running within an hour. I also use the phone to give wireless access to my Palm pilot, and frankly I use that for remote e-mail more often than my laptop, which generally stays at home.
