Legacy
If you like the AWD wagon, definitely give the Legacy a good look; it's pretty much the same thing, except newer. It's an incredibly popular car down here in New Zealand -- quick enough, carries lots of stuff, and good for mountain roads. All the skiiers seem to have them, and you can pick up an early 90's model for maybe NZ$5000 (US$3000). That's imported from Japan though - I have no idea what the market is like in the USA.
