Emphasis on the 'more
| | Just arrived at my daughter's place in Baltimore. It's 1am, local time. Been a looong day. Two cars, three planes, four airports. Almost-lost luggage... (Insert boring travel saga here.) |
| | Wasted time hooking up wi-fi that won't work on the DSL, only to discover that a neighbor has a wide-open wi-fi access point. Gotta love it. |
| | She's excited to show us the city tomorrow. I've heard nothing but good things about Baltimore, for years. Meanwhile, the tune that runs through my mind is Randy Newman's Baltimore, from the Little Criminals album. It opens with Beat-up little seagull, on a marble stair... and proceeds to beat the crap out of the city for another five verses and two refrains. |
| | Still a good song. Just proven wrong by its own subject. |
