Murphy permutes to infinity
| | Talking on The Linux Show about their wiki stats to the guys at LinuxQuestions.org, and the possibility for compounded error in general, I just overheard myself saying the headline above, mostly because I've spent the last two days in a just-built house where all kinds of stuff has been going wrong. Networks and phones that don't work, doors that don't fit, mysteriously absent water pressure, electrical outlets with no electricity... all the usual stuff. |
| | Anyway, this is the first I've sat down at the computer all day. We're almost gone from the old place, but not quite. |
| | Reminds me of another corollary to Murphy: Moving is an asymptotic process. Right now we're half done with the stuff that was half done before the other stuff that was half done. Corollary to the corollary: The end is nearer. |
