Interim
| | There's a scene in one of the early Star Trek movies (the first one, perhaps?) where somebody (Kirk's squeeze?) gets beamed improperly and manifests for a few moments before their demise as a formless mess of protoplasm. Or something. |
| | For some reason, my office move brings this to mind. Everything is in boxes, including lots of stuff I need to function. The painters and carpenters aren't done with the new place, and lots more stuff remains to be moved not just for the office, but for the whole house. I'd show ya pictures, but I don't know where the camera is. |
| | I'm typing this on my lap at the old place. I think it'll be my last post for the day, and perhaps for the week. Tomorrow morning I fly to somewhere in Mexico for a Linux Journal retreat, and I won't be back until Saturday night. I don't think I'll be taking this latpop with me, either. Instead I'll be taking the new ThinkPad T-40 Linux machine to which I'm gradually moving my digital life. I have no idea what the connectivity will be like down there, either. So hold off on the email for awhile, too. |
