I wish I could share Micah's amazement. It didn't shock me a bit, but then, I'm from around here. Note item four on my weblog posting from day one. The technical fascination with the completely new process is in so many ways incompatible with the slow accretive nature of most political action. You know the last time I saw a large slogan on a wall which said "We want radical change"? It was in one of the largest data centers in the world, run by a company with very little interest in furthering what I, as a political person from way back, would call radical change.
