Travel day
| | Flying back to California today. See you on the West Side. |
Democracy vs. Crockracy
| | ...it's interesting that so many of us feel we need to sound like the talking heads on TV...Nuance is reduced to serial certainty...There are two kinds of people who have no knowledge of what the outcome will be: people who are paid to be expert and people in their audience... |
| | As jazz plays in the background, I ask Britt about his wellspring. I'm just channeling this shit, man, he says. |
| | Yesterday afternoon at LinuxWorld, I gave a talk in the O'Reilly booth that was a bit of a dry run for my session at the Digital Democracy Teach-In coming up in a few weeks. Wanting to show blogs being used to maximal effect, I called Britt up from the audience to take the mike and the keyboard. He stood and delivered, telling the story of Deanspace's origins, among other things, with a nice picture of demogenesis right here on the couch where I'm sitting now. |
