Oh.... Just found this, so I am copying the letter I sent to Doc via email...
[...]
Totally agree. The station was a very close knit group under the
Brown's ownership. When it was sold to (finally) Clear Channel it
lost its soul.
Technically... the audio sounds bad. They are over processing and
it has lost the "audiophile" sound I worked so hard to maintain on
the air.
Programming... they are trying to be more slick but failing. Music
bumpers, jingles, announcers walking on records, covers of songs
that are really bad. Weird rotation.
Promotion... they aren't. These guys don't know how to do it and
keep in touch with the community.
Yup, Blake is working for a satellite company on the east coast
doing a dance music channel. Hoyt is at KDFC doing afternoons and
Roger is over there too doing their Web site and multimedia. We
all have a lunch scheduled for next month to talk about the old
times. :-)
I just wish Steve Feinstein (the old PD) was still around. :-(
As for the mailing list. I can scream at them if you wish. I may
still have some clout over there.
Tim
BTW... It is spelled "Pozar". :-)
