"To a limited degree, mainstream journals have embraced blogging. In the long run they'll come to depend on it." just yesterday i unsubscribed from an online news source after it pointed to a mainstream journalist covering a topic hundreds of weblogs had covered months before. increasingly, the mainstream "news" is telling me things i already learned from sources that don't call themselves "news", without even additional insight to make up for the delay. however, it's not yet to the point where Loïc's statement that "Traditional media sources are no longer the primary source of information" is true. for most people the traditional media sources of television and newspaper are still the primary sources of information.
