Re: The H word
I'm probably as much to blame as anybody when it comes to the occasional rant at the blog. I do my best to maintain a civil tone when posting at somebody else's blog, however, because that's rather like visiting their house. But I'm glad I have the outlet -- tho I couldn't maintain the negativity all the time, like some people seem to. I do know where some of those guys are coming from. In some cases, it's about being battered by society, and it's their genuine pain talking. My son works in radio, and we've talked about angry talk shows. I'm hearing that it's really intentional, all that argument. If it gets too much like a mutual admiration society, people don't listen, for some reason. I've listened to programs where people just agree with each other for an hour, and it does get dull. I figure there's room for everybody's opinion here in the great blogosphere. And who knows -- maybe it'll all settle down one day, ;>)
