4.5.0 works for me. How did you upgrade from Jaguar? I had access to the ADC seeds and the first time I did an upgrade install convinced me to do wipe installs (and the release notes after the WWDC seed did say upgrade installs were not supported). I archived everything in /Users/myhomedir, /Library/StartupItems, /Library/Application Support, /Library/Preferences, /usr/local, /sw, and whatever I wanted to keep in /Applications. After the install, I copied everthing back, but did ~/Library/Preferences and /Library/Preferences manually so I only kept what I needed (Preference .plists are like a more benign version of the Windows registry and the cruft does pile up). I have had zero problems on a G4 PB. However, I have not been willing to get anywhere near FileVault yet. There are responses to this message:
