Direct linking to search results
Based on the examples on Amazon's How It Works page, it looks like you can at least link directly to the results list by using the following format: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/104-5457949-3018321?index=stripbooks&field-keywords=doc%20searls (Or not; looks like that's a dynamically generated temporary URL. Oh well.) Linking directly to the pages is a different matter. I would also expect, assuming that Amazon doesn't get its pants sued off, that they will extend the ability to search the book text catalog via the Associates API and the link builder.
