Re: MPAA change

Now Jack Valenti and the MPAA have decided to stop sending those recordings because they no longer trust Academy members not to 'pirate' them."
This makes it sound as if the MPAA has some authority over independent films, but it doesn't. This may actually improve award opportunities for independent film makers, because they can continue to distribute screenings on physical media, while members of the MPAA can't.
