It's an online column, actually. Nothing wrong with that. It's just less of a blog, if it's a blog at all. And I will admit to some gray area here. It's still early in the history of blogging to assume a set of canons and othodoxies around usage. In any case, as Glenn and the others have pointed out, the Bee is less of a paper for having caved in to the forces of political correction.. and I think that's a good label in this case, since the pressure was clearly political, and the correction, regardless of the stated reason, immediately followed the corrective pressure.
