one thing the blog-bashing misses is the leverage of weblogs via other media.
even at this very early stage of their development, their audience is greatly magnified because of who DOES read them -- the press and other writers.
here in greensboro, for example, city council candidate david hoggard doesn't need tens of thousands of people to read his campaign blog [http://radio.weblogs.com/0128341] because he knows the beat reporters at the regional daily are reading it, and passing it on in various ways to their print readers.
same thing happens on a national scale. duh.
