That's about $100 million per Acquisition Announcement BS cliche
Chris Locke's old pal Scott Kurnit is selling About.com (formerly The Mining Company) to Primedia for $690 million in stock. He points to this story and adds, "I wouldn't have sent this, except for the great quote, which I suspect Doc will be pasting into his scrapbook: We are convinced that this transaction saves years of development ime and cost, while being accretive within the first 12 months," Rogers said. "It also further de-leverages the company and increases the float, which have been two key objectives. oi, eh?"
