Re: Saturday, June 14, 2003
Doc,
On November 1st of last year, my right foot fell asleep as I was getting out of the car. An hour later, I was in the ER.
Turns out, I had a cluster of 5 or 6 clots that wound up lodging in my right femoral artery. I spent 10 days in the hospital and a month at home recovering.
Here's the deal: I'm deficient in one of the anti-clotting proteins. I take Coumadin every day. My wife says I can't buy a motorcycle. The vascular surgeon who took out the clots is still scratching his head. (He tells me I owe him 50 bucks because he lost a bet about me.)
It's good to be alive.
