Re: TiBook 802.11 PC Card
I inherited a 15 inch TiBook for which the original owner didn't buy an Airport card. I plugged in the Lucent/Orinoco PC card I used to use with my Lombard, and it works, and has the bonus of being treated as an Airport card under OS 9 (the TiBook is running 9). Range seems at least as good as it was with that card on the Lombard, or with the Extreme card in my new PB 12". Don't know if the Lucent card is recognized as an Airport card in OS X, but you should still see reasonable range with any supported PC card.
