re the ralph stanley site thing, promotion is great, self-promotion is fine but it's the 21st century on the web and i think it would be only polite to ask people before blasting them with your music. he may be a talented professional musician and all but his site gets the same rating from me as those things with the cats and valentines and raggedy anns and really bad midi files made by someone's nephew and i won't be going back not that i matter but still there might be some better marketing choices he can make. just offering a clue maybe.
