The glories of MaxSpeak (and his friend Nathan)! The agony of my Sidekick
Doc, I sure am glad you got hipped to MaxSpeak--I did my best, but perhaps I oversold that particular item. MaxSpeak is one of my regular reads--it's one of the very best lefty weblogs out there.
Let me suggest that people who like MaxSpeak also check out Nathan Newman--he's got a fair amount of technical writing on his site, along with level-headed leftism.
Finally, check out The American Prospect for good political articles, and particularly check out their group weblog Tapped.
Try this and this and particularly this prescient blast from the past.
P.S. I agree with Cory about the Sidekick and the lousiness of the SDK terms--but I originally wrote this post on mine, which showed me what a wonderful job the human factors people did. I typed quickly and accurately and read the screen easily--it was great!
Until I tried to post--then Frontier gives me an error. I'm guessing Danger varied from a standard to break this, but really, who knows? Could it be that I have something misconfigured? I don't discount that possibility--I haven't heard anyone else complain about this.
I'll retype the message and send it in shortly--whoever made the mess, I'll bet on Userland to clean it up.
