Famous techo-journalist's laptop goes missing. Turns up mysteriously some days later. Back to business as usual. Then, unexplained errors begin to appear. I'm not sure how to develop the story from there but it seems as though it would almost write itself. Maybe a hardware twist on Invasion of the Body Snatchers. It *looks* like my computer, but... smays.com
