Dave should check out some of the older 2mp models that were all the rage a few years back. I was recently looking for one that I could lose (inspired by your misadventures with gear) easily without kicking myself - I ended up with an HP Photosmart that I found on eBay, all in ~$100. I still use my "analog" Canon EOS-1 for the serious (pro-cam from about ten years ago) stuff, but I am having a ton of fun "lomoing" around with the HP. All of the recent pictures to my blog are taken using this camera. (the pictures are clickable if you want to get a sense of the quality in a meaningful way...) regards, -rwr
