| | We put up a bunch of notices downtown last night offering a reward for the return of the laptop (it was stolen from our parked car downtown on Saturday). It's a long shot, but an earnest effort I'd regret not making. |
| | It'll probably be another couple days before I have something I can use. The kid's desktop (an old G3/333 tower) abruptly decided it wouldn't do Ethernet yesterday (it barely lights up one of the two status lights in the hub), and no amount of restarting and running Norton and tweaking of extention combinations cures the problem. The Linux box has some unknown hardware problem I'm having trouble trouble-shooting. (I expect qualified geeks will give me a hand on that today.) |
